We don’t publish euro figures — material markets won’t allow honest ones. But the ladder never changes: here’s how gate types rank against each other, so you know roughly where your project sits before anyone visits.
The entry point. A single made-to-measure gate — simple bar designs at the lower end, hardwood-infill or scrollwork designs above. Fitted to existing piers or walls.
The most common job: a bespoke pair of swing gates, galvanised and powder-coated. Design complexity, height and infill set where you land within the band.
Gate plus automation engineered together: motors, safety edges, photocells, access control and groundworks. Sliding automation typically runs above swing.

A gate is mostly material: steel section, aluminium, galvanising, coating. Those markets reprice constantly — sometimes noticeably within a single month. That leaves companies with online price lists two options, and both are bad for you: pad the price so they’re covered whatever the market does, or quote stale numbers and claw it back later with extras.

Three questions separate a good quote from a cheap one. Is the steel galvanised — or just primed and painted, which rusts from the inside out within a few Irish winters? Who actually makes the gate — a certified fabrication workshop, or a reseller fitting an imported catalogue gate?
